Recitals, Competition Team, and Birthday Parties

The Spring Recital

The 2025 Spring Recital will take place on June 14th at 6 pm.

  • A Photo Day Fee will be charged to all parents accounts on April 1st

  • A Recital Media Link will be charged to all parents accounts on Feb 1st

  • A mandatory dress rehearsal will take place on the day before, Friday, June 13th

  • All students are expected to participate. The Dress Rehearsal is a closed rehearsal. Only staff, teachers and stage are allowed in the auditorium.

  • Important information will be shared via email, including information about costumes, rehearsal dates, and various signup deadlines

  • Tickets go on sale in May. Early buyers receive an early-bird special.

The Competition Program

Tpda’s Performance Group Program, or the Competition Team, offers our students the opportunity to compete for prizes around the New England area. Dancers will compete in up to 4 competitions a year, and will usually perform as part of a small group.

Requirements

  1. Be enrolled for a full year, July through June, including the summer session.

  2. Take two Ballet classes and one Jazz class. Dancers will be required to learn their choreography in the summer and be schedules for a weekly 30-minute including some Saturdays.Rehearsals start in September.

  3. Must participate in the Annual Recital Closing Number, There will be separate fees applied.

  4. Enroll into the summer program by taking two Ballet classes, and a Jazz class of choice equaling a total of 3 hours of dance per week.

Groups

  • The Petite Group (ages 7–9)

  • The Mini Group (ages 5–6)

Purpose

The main purposes of the Competition Team is to provide all students with a challenging yet enjoyable environment, emphasizing the development of both physical skills and good character. The program aims to develop the following and competencies:

  • Teamwork

  • Sportsmanship

  • Work Ethic

  • Leadership

Goals

The Competition Team offers a varied program that meets the needs of the recreational dancer, yet is strong enough to prepare the dancer for a future career in dance, if so desired. We strive to maintain the best quality dance program without sacrificing time away.

Birthday Parties

Have your child’s themed birthday party at TPDA Dance! Themes can include:

  • Any style of dance party (e.g. hip hop, ballet, jazz)

  • Disney-themed party (all-around, or choose a specific character or movie)

  • Instrument-themed

  • Animal-themed

  • Or something else entirely!
